Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my faithful readers, and even to those who have no idea who I am and only landed on this blog by accident!

My wish for 2011 is to exceed 100 followers.

If you can help me, either by following me or spreading the word about this blog, that would be great!

If I manage to attract over 100 followers - see sidebar for details -  I might even undertake to update this blog more often than I do currently.

Though I wouldn't want to bore people by blogging too often. There's only so much a writer can say about writing before they begin to sound like a scratched record, after all.

But even if you turn up and there's no new entry, you can always feed the sidebar fish. ;-)

Dear Jane

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful and prosperous New Year! When does your Tudor historical appear in all good bookshops?

Love from Simon

Happy New Year Jane, (as your 100th follower do I get a prize - apart from the satisfaction of knowing you are doomed to blog more often now?)

Woo-hoo, 103 followers now!!

Of course this means I really ought to blog rather more often than twice a month, lol.

So yes, Christine, I fear your prize for being Follower 100 is to be forced to read this blog more often than in previous years. In fact, in your honour, I shall attempt to blog at least ONCE A WEEK from now on!

How long will that brave attempt last, I wonder?

Simon, thanks for asking, the Tudor novel will not be out until March 2012, I have been told. But don't worry, the media machine will swing into action long before that and trumpet its advent to the skies. Plenty of time to save up for the hardback, in other words. ;-)

Also, a Happy New Year to The Golden Eagle - I used to frequent a greasy spoon called The Golden Egg, where a particularly gruesome murder took place; not my doing, I assure you - and to Lacey and Rachel.

It's all happening in 2011!
